The Fourth Estate has never been more essential to our country and community. This presale for membership in Comma's "First Amendment Club" is for those who understand the importance of the amendment our nation's founders purposely chose to list first, and want to show support for local journalism across Eastern Washington and North Idaho. Depending on when you sign up, you will become the proud owner of a membership number that will memorialize just how early you supported this new 501c3.

"I just want you to know how much it touched my heart to know you will be preserving your land in perpetuity and donating to the Kalispell Tribe. For them to get back the land they took care of for generations is so meaningful."

"Only have Social Security to live on but we need more stories like the one about passing the wilderness stewardship to the Native American tribe. One person truly can make a difference for good, even in these unsettling times."

"My parents took the Spokesman Review And Chronicle while we sisters were growing up, teaching us the importance of a free press in a democracy. We learned citizens in a free society have a responsibility to be informed about local, national, and international events in order to participate effectively in its preservation. We learned to read a range of opinions, and discover community events and culture. We were encouraged to think critically about what we read and share our thoughts around the dinner table. And, of course, we fought over the comics every Sunday. I am grateful."
