Ron came to Comma after a 42-year career in journalism, including working at the Las Vegas Sun and Orange County Register. He previously worked at the Wichita Eagle, where he became the first reporter at a mass media organization to use Twitter to cover courtroom hearings live, and was on the early staff of USA TODAY. Before coming to Spokane, he served six years as a Magistrate District Court Judge in Kansas. He and his wife Gaye have a blended family of five children and three grandchildren. When not meeting newspaper deadlines, he is a performing magician.
